Your skeletons from your Instagram closet can finally be kept a secret for good. We give you the deets below!
Hands up if you have one or two selfies that you are not proud of, but don’t really want to delete? Well, the photo-sharing app now allows you to hide those dodgy photos thanks to their newly launched Archive feature (whew!).
Don’t worry if you are not tech savvy as it’s pretty easy to put those images in the “memory bank” – all you have to do is click on the three dots button at the top of the post, select “Archive” and wham, bam, thank you ma’am as they are now hidden from others’ sight and and for your eyes only.
“Today we’re introducing Archive, a new feature that lets you move posts you’ve previously shared into a space that’s visible only to you,” an Instagram spokesperson said.
“Your profile is a representation of who you are and evolves with you over time.
“With Archive, you now have more flexibility to shape your profile while still preserving moments that matter.”
You can actually go back and “unarchive” them and they will chronologically appear on your feed again when you click the “Show on Profile” button, because we know that you’ll want to look back on those good ol’ days as the years go by.
Now that you know how this feature works, maybe it is time to spruce up your Instagram feed and hide those silly pics from last year’s Christmas party, hey?
Don’t let your Instagram advertising end up in the archives, rather give it a spruce with Metis. Contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us at +27 83 233 5455.
